WELCOME TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF SHERTHALLAI

We meet eachThursday at ROTARY COMMUNITY HALL at 7.30 PM.

We are a small and very active club of 32 members in a little town called Sherthallai( Cherthala in our local language-Malayalam), in Alleppey District of Kerala in INDIA.

Sherthallai Club belongs to District 3210 of Rotary  International.

The Rotary Club of Sherthallai with 22 members, was formed with the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Alleppey and chartered on 18th  August 1979, with Prof. Valsan as President. Now we are 32 and growing.

Though we are small in number we more than make up for that by our activities in our community. We pride ourselves on having an excellent family atmosphere and fellowship.

If you are a visiting Rotarian or a prospective member we would be glad to welcome you as a visitor at our meetings

Cherthala once considered a backward and rural area is fast emerging as a prominent township of significance. The Rotary Club of Sherthallai has truely filled the the vacuum- the dearth for a service organisation of substance in this area.

The Rotary Club today is synonymous for "Service" in the minds of the people  due to the rapport  and wealth of community service done  painstakingly over the years.
